Free Youth Rugby Clinic Change

The Free Youth Rugby Clinic scheduled for August 2 at Lee Cultural Center Field has changed to August 4 at Cobbs Creek Recreation Center in West Philadelphia from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Schuylkill River Exiles will be working with kids between the ages of 8-14 showing them some basic drills and games so that they can learn a new sport as well as the values of teamwork, leadership, and physical well being. Currently there are no youth rugby programs in West Philadelphia and many children do not participate in structured sports leagues. This introduction will be the starting point of creating a city-wide league to develop youth rugby in Philadelphia.

The goal for this introduction is to have over 100 kids participate in the event and to have them participate at no cost to them. Donations of $20-$50 will support having this dream come true. Your participation and support will create the possibility of truly shaping a child's life while advancing the sport of rugby.
